Arrr! He made landfall on Planet Earth on the 11th day o’ October, in the year 1962, an’ he’s been sharpenin’ his fine talents for silliness ever since. Wonderin’ where ye might find the scallywag? Cast yer spyglass toward Rudy’s Pub / Bamboo Room, sittin’ proud at 21 & 25 South J Street. That be the harbor where the lad is most often spotted—swappin’ tall tales, stirrin’ up mischief, and keepin’ his silliness skills sharp among the good folk o’ the port

Cap’n Feck! Pirate Island itself might never have come to be without the artful skills o’ Cap’n Feck. The crafty sea dog keeps our rescued kayaks shipshape—patchin’, mendin’, and seein’ to it they’re fit for the high seas once more. And truth be told, the old captain be a mighty good bit o’ fun as well!
Pirate MAMA (aka Janey Delaney)
MAMA be a livin’ legend straight outta the Bronx! For generations she’s been inspirin’, helpin’, and lookin’ after wayward souls up and down the docks. Why, she’s even bailed Pirate Shona outta the brig more than once!
She be so freakin’ cool there’s even a song writ about her. Aye, the old tune ‘The Wanderer’ speaks of her—‘Janey is the one I’ll be with tonight.’
When the rest o’ the pirates be off plunderin’ and carryin’ on across the seas, MAMA be the one keepin’ the ship runnin’—seein’ to the day-to-day business and keepin’ the harbor in order.
We love ye, MAMA!
Pirate 'Naked Ray' Jividen
Naked Ray hails from Delray Beach, but he holds a lifetime VISA to work and play in L-DUB. He be Pirate Island’s own master o’ fixin’ things—the resident handyman who keeps the place from fallin’ apart like a leaky old sloop.
Naked Ray and Shona Dick go way back—clear to their days at Montessori elementary. Truth be told, he still tries racin’ her to the playground whenever the mood strikes… though the years may have slowed the lad a touch.
If ye want the measure of the man, just watch the tune by Weird Al Yankovic called “Handy.” That pretty much tells the whole tale. Aye—definitely watch the watch!
